Playtex Products, Inc. reported sales decreased 1% to $146 million for the third quarter. For the first nine months, sales decreased 3% to $510 million. Net income for the third quarter was $3.4 million compared to $1.4 million last year. Growth reflected the positive impact of higher tampon, sun care product and Wet Ones wipe sales, cost reduction efforts and interest savings from the company’s deleveraging program.
